A Closer Look at Disney Princesses. Disney is one of the most well known and respected producer of children’s movies, toys and memorable characters. Most little girls want to be Disney princesses at some point and they have a lot of princesses to choose from. The little girls can pick a princess for each day of the week and not repeat them. Each princess portrayed in the movies and stories by Disney are smart, beautiful and strong women that make great role models for little girls of all ages and walks of life.
One of the most notable of all Disney princesses is Cinderella. She was a nothing when she was in her home with her mean and ugly step sisters. But when she was discovered by the fairy godmother, things began to change for her. She got to go to the ball dressed better than the step sisters and ending up meeting her prince charming. The whole story is a fantasy that many girls, and women for that matter, dream about. All women love the idea of meeting their prince charming and letting him take her away from the life she lives. Although Cinderella is a true princess, she is just one of Disney princesses.
Snow White is another one of Disney princesses that has been made so very popular. She was lost and seven dwarfs found her in the woods. They took her in and made her feel at home while trying to protect her from the wicked queen. When the queen disguises herself as an old and feeble woman, she tricks Snow White into eating an apple that was laced by poison and she went into a coma. The dwarfs protected her even more after that by not letting her die and encasing her in a glass box. It didn’t take too long for the handsome stranger to come and rescue her. All it took was a kiss and Snow White was better. Just like the rest of Disney princesses, she lived a happy and healthy life with her savior.

There are many more Disney princesses that are very popular, some are recent additions and some have been around for many years. All of them have one thing in common; they eventually find true love with a man that is handsome, trustworthy and strong willed.
A lot of girls and women love to dress up as princesses from time to time to feel the way a princess should feel. Halloween is the best time of year for a woman to get by with it without drawing attention to herself, but a younger girl can do this anytime they have permission. Children love to play dress up when they are at home or going to a birthday party or other gatherings of children. This is quite normal and should be supported.
One way of having the outfits around that girls can dress up in is to find Halloween costumes that have some wear left. Many times a little girl with a big imagination can dress up as one of the Disney princesses by using her mother’s clothes. This is a normal activity and should be supported, even encouraged by the little girl’s parents.
